Recipes by Popular Demand
For all you readers who called, wrote or e-mailed requests for recipes for our Look Great in Eight menu planner (July 2002), here's a tasty batch to get you started. Please remember that the original concept was to provide ideas for adding variety to your weight-loss menus, not to provide specific recipes. But since you asked, we are happy to comply. Some fit the menu plan exactly, while others need some easy adjustments (such as using turkey instead of chicken, or beans instead of corn, or one kind of bean instead of four).
Meanwhile, try adapting some of your favorite recipes using our basic dinner plan and light cooking how-tos from the poster and pages 74-75 of the June issue. Also try the great new recipes we feature in each issue, including those in "Too Hot to Cook" and "Lighter and Leaner" in the July issue. Enjoy!
