Nitric oxide boosters are in a class of supplements taken preworkout to increase the muscle pump response to training. The theory is that increased blood flow to the working muscles will enhance nutrient delivery and speed removal of waste products. Several ingredients have been shown to increase nitric oxide levels and enhance vasodilation, including: vitamins C and E (taken together), pine bark extract, folic acid, selenium, L-citrulline and a novel amino acid called GPLC (glycine propionyl l-carnitine). At doses of at least 1.5 grams, GPLC can also improve repeated anaerobic exercise.

TAKE: 1.5 g GPLC, 500 mg vitamin C, 400 IU vitamin E and 400 mcg folic acid 90 minutes before training.
