We get the same question all the time: "How often do I need to do cardio to really drop bodyfat?" The answer seems to be a minimum of four days per week, according to researchers from Texas. They had 90 men and women follow an eight-week cardio program that consisted of doing cardio for 30 minutes straight. They divided the subjects into groups based on how often they exercised each week. One group served as a control and did no exercise each week, a second group did the cardio workouts less than twice a week, a third group did the workouts two or three times per week, and the fourth group did cardio four or more times per week. The scientists reported that only the group doing cardio four or more times per week lost a significant amount of bodyfat – almost 15 pounds. So to drop bodyfat, be sure to do a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio four days per week. And yes, more is better for fat loss.
